Marc A. Machuga

Marc passed away on Friday November 13, 2020 at home in Bradford, NY after complications from his recent knee replacement surgery. Marc, a lifetime resident of Bradford, is survived by his sons Andrew Machuga (Tiana Clark) and Blake Machuga and their mothers Shelly Sutton and Linda Rossman, respectively. He is also survived by his granddaughter Karlee (the light of his life) and his step-granddaughter Kaylynn Clark. Marc is further survived by his mother Theresa Machuga (Dave Worthington)of Hornell, sister Tricia DeCerbo (Ken Leath) of Corning, brother Rick Machuga (Shelley) of Bath, NY, his nieces Maria Decerbo of Olean, NY, Jourdan Machuga of Bath, and nephew Nicholas DeCerbo of Olean, his grandmother Genny Beers of Bradford and his step-mother Thelma Buckle of Bath. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Marc was pre-deceased by his father Richard N Machuga of Bradford in 2017. For those of you who knew Marc you know he lived every day to the fullest. If you were with Marc you knew you were going to have a good time and a lot of laughs, especially at Joe’s, Lost and Found, or at Camp Outlaw. He was known to enjoy an occasional beverage and may have scratched off a lottery ticket every once in a while. Marc was a long-time employee at Sleve Construction, working with his good friend Tim Sleve. He was an exceptional carpenter and a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. When he wasn’t working, he loved spending time with his boys and his grandchildren. He was a hunter, a softball umpire, a practical joker, and a story teller. He was an avid poker player, and participated in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in 2006, He enjoyed canning pickles with Tricia, and was really looking forward to watching Blake play his senior season of basketball at Dundee this fall. He was a great friend to many and he was never too busy to help out when asked. He really loved his family and friends and more importantly, they really loved him back. A special thank you to “Boogie”, Gina and Donny for all their friendship and support this past week. And to Marc’s Grandma Genny for a lifetime of support and love. A Catholic Memorial Mass will be held on Monday the 23rd of November at 1:00 pm at St. Stanislaus Church in Bradford, NY with limited attendance allowed for family, due to the pandemic. This will be followed by a ceremony at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 2:15pm in Bath, NY. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks must be worn and social distancing followed.
