<p>Mary E. Wilkes, age 87, of 7455 Pinehurst-Byromville Road, Vienna, died Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the home of her daughter in Crestview, Florida.</p> <p>Born in Dooling, she was the daughter of the late John David Middlebrooks and Rosa Raper Middlebrooks.&nbsp; Mrs. Wilkes retired from Oxford Industries, was a member of Byromville Baptist Church and the widow of Rufus Q. Wilkes.&nbsp; She was a loving&nbsp;wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.&nbsp; She was devoted&nbsp;to her family and her church.&nbsp; <em>Her children arise up and call her blessed.&nbsp; Proverbs 31:28(a).</em></p> <p>Survivors include:<br /> Daughters:<br /> Kathy Slappy (Melvin) of Dawson<br /> Angela Jimes (Ronnie) of Shreveport, LA<br /> Katrina West (Kyle) of Crestview, FL</p> <p>Son:&nbsp; Rufus Q. Wilkes, Jr. of Vienna</p> <p>Brother:&nbsp; Jesse Harold Middlebrooks of Albany</p> <p>Grandchildren:&nbsp; 18<br /> Great Grandchildren:&nbsp; 24</p> <p>A private funeral service for immediate family only will be held on Friday, November 20 in Byromville Baptist Church.&nbsp; A public graveside service for friends will be held at 1:45 PM Friday, November 20 in Oliver Cemetery.</p> <p>The family may be contacted at the West residence, 7697 Pinehurst-Byromville Road.</p> <p>Memorial gifts may be made to Byromville Baptist Church, Post Office Box 126, Byromville, Georgia 31007.</p> <p>Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.</p>
