John H. Malmrose, age 70, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully on November 13, 2020.

John was born on September 12, 1950 in Chicago, son of John H. “Jack” and RoseMarie (LoBianco) Malmrose.  John obtained his JD from University of Illinois, College of Law, Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Studies in Law in Taxation, from the top-ranked Law School at New York University. A most successful practicing attorney in four states: Illinois, California, Washington, D.C. and Florida, John worked on highly specialized corporate and taxation cases throughout his 50 years of legal career.

On Independence Day, July 4th 1993, John married the love of his life, Noemi, in Los Angeles. He loved his work, his family, his extended family located on several states and three continents, always providing mentorship and guidance to family and friends. He loved the American Songbook, Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack and his extensive music collection was legendary. Proud to be born in the Mid-West, proud to be part of the Sears Tower construction team during college to support himself, his love for the city of Chicago was always part of his enjoyment to share with family and friends Chicago style pizza throughout his life.  John’s fantastic wit, generous nature and a unique sense of humor were his signature recognized by family, friends, co-workers and public alike. He was one of a kind, with a remarkable mind, an intelligent curiosity, with a high intellectual understanding, and a deep yet quiet elegance: a gentleman in the true sense of the word. His witty remarks were always accompanied by a gentle smile, by a profound respect for the people around him, and by his genuine elegance of spirit. John’s great generosity of spirit and decency were qualities accompanied by his remarkable intelligence and extensive knowledge in multiple fields, leaving his unique mark on all people met throughout his life journey.

John will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Noemi Marin, his step-daughter, Oana (Jeffrey) Bonomo, step-grandchildren Charlie Bonomo, Lucy Bonomo, Abby Bonomo, his sister Rosemarie (Chris) Benson, his brothers Robert Malmrose and David Malmrose, nieces Paige Malmrose, Lindsay Malmrose, Natalie Malmrose, and Sophie Malmrose.

A funeral service in memory of John will be held on Thursday November 19, 2020 at 1PM at the Gary Panoch Funeral Home (6140 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton FL 33487) followed by burial at the Boca Raton Cemetery & Mausoleum.
