Robert Lee Weber Obituary

On Friday November 13, Robert Lee Weber passed away peacefully at the age of 83. Bob was born on April 2, 1937 in Baltimore, MD. He graduated from Baltimore City College, served honorably as a police officer in the Air Force and in Howard County, was a draftsman (both by hand and by computer), and retired from Westinghouse. Bob also helped champion a contemporary worship evening service at Havre de Grace United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Baker Weber, and his four children and stepchildren: Mike (Cindy) Weber of Williamsburg, VA, Amy (Todd) Sukeena of Catonsville, MD, Mike (Amy) Baker of Reisterstown, MD and Jennifer (Todd) Felter of Parkville, MD. He was the proud Pop Pop to Nicole, Stephanie, Christopher, Alexandra, Joshua, Lauren, Nathan, Christine and Ryan, and two beautiful great-grandchildren: Jude and Lily. He was the loving Uncle Buck to his nephews Jeff (Lisa) Weber and Steve (Laura) Weber. Bob was predeceased by his father, Bernard, his mother, Jeanette, and his brother Charles.

If you look up the phrase “people person” in the dictionary, you may just see Bob’s picture there. He loved meeting people, talking with people, and telling stories. If he asked how you were doing, he truly cared about the answer (and remembered it the next time he saw you). A talented artist, Bob was known to draw and paint in his spare time, and had a keen eye for photography. He passed his love of fishing down to both his kids and grandkids, and enjoyed taking fishing charters on the Chesapeake Bay. When it came to sports, Bob loved a trip to Memorial Stadium to watch the Orioles, and if he couldn’t make it in person, would either be listening on the radio or watching on TV. As a former high school football player, he loved his Baltimore Colts, and the Ravens became a quick favorite as well.

Due to COVID restrictions, an outdoor memorial service will be held on Friday November 20 at 1 pm at the Concord Point Lighthouse in Havre de Grace, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
