Betty June Mardis -GLBFH

Rogers – Betty June Mardis, 88, died Friday, November 13, 2020 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born on June 12, 1932 in Harrisburg to the late Porter and Gladys Dunkerson Evans. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and was a wonderful cook. Betty enjoyed helping her husband develop the Mardis Addition in Jonesboro and raising her family there. She was an avid sports fan of all sports. Betty was married to Thomas William Mardis for 62 wonderful years till he passed in 2016. She is survived by her children, Tommy Clay Mardis and wife Tammi of Rogers and Lisa Renee Mardis of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Stacy Tidwell (Drew), Kayce Mardis and Trey Mardis (Lindsey); four great-grandchildren, Avery, Owen, Emma and Clay Tidwell. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm. Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery officiated by Rev. Jamie Alexander under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg, 204 South Main Harrisburg, AR 72432. All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
