<p>It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Viola Ellen Boyd on November 15 2020 at the Dauphin Personal Care Home at the age of 93. Viola was born on 27 July 1927 to Floyd and Mabel Tyler near Kelwood, Manitoba.</p> <p>Viola was a stay at home mom who loved taking care of children in her home. She baby sat&nbsp;many of the children whose parents worked at the Dauphin hospital. She was an avid bingo player and was frequently playing three to four times a week with her husband Stan. Above all Viola was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always saw the best in everyone.</p> <p>Viola enjoyed traveling with her daughter and son-in-law and their family. With them she was able to see a good portion of Canada and a portion of the USA. When at home her and Stan were often seen driving around the area, she took great pleasure in going up to the Park to see the bison, to hear the elk bugling, or to see the leaves changing colours.</p> <p>She passed away peacefully with her only child Joanne Bailey and son in law at her side. Viola was predeceased by her loving husband Stanley Thomas Boyd and her sisters Gladys Parker of Winnipeg, and Florence MacDonald of Winnipeg. She leaves behind her younger sister Verna Davis of Stonewall, her daughter Joanne Bailey and son in law Mark Bailey both from Redcliff, Alberta. She had three grandchildren, Nathan Bailey his wife Stephanie Bailey, Logan Bailey his wife Kaytlin Bailey, and her granddaughter Laura Bailey, all from Beaumont, Alberta. She had seven great-grandchildren, Aidyn Bailey, Abigail Bailey, Jovial Johnson, Finnick Bailey, Valkyrie Johnson (deceased), Dashel Bailey, and Delaney Bailey all of Beaumont, Alberta. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.</p> <p>I would like to extend a personal thank you to all the personnel at the Dauphin PCH who have looked after Viola over the last five years. Viola was a stay at home mom who loved taking care of children in her home. She baby sat many of the children whose parents worked at the Dauphin hospital. She was an avid bingo player and was frequently playing three to four times a week with her husband Stan. Above all Viola was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always saw the best in everyone.

Viola enjoyed traveling with her daughter and son-in-law and their family. With them she was able to see a good portion of Canada and a portion of the USA.
