David Ronald Hartwick, (Chick), 80 of Locke, NY passed away peacefully with his family at his side at his home on November 13, 2020.

Born October 14, 1940 in Gouverneur, NY he was the son of the late David McCartha and Tacy Clark Hartwick.

Having been in the area since the 1960's, he had worked at Smith Corona for 28 years and retired from TST Boces after spending 10 years with them.

David was a quiet man whose presence was strongly felt within the family. He enjoyed remote airplanes, NASCAR racing and especially camping. Many fond memories were made at times spent at family gatherings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carole A. McPherson Hartwick, whom he had spent 63 years with. His children ,Terri (Floyd) Perreault, Lauri (Harry) Perreault, Shelley (Scott) Kirkey, David (Tammy) Hartwick , Jamie Hartwick, and Toni Miller,as well as 30 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand daughter survive him as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Leon, Richard, Verna,Vivian, Violet and Mildred.

As per family wishes, there will be a family gathering at a later date to share and remember. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Fingerlakes 1130 Corporate Dr., Auburn, NY 13021.
