Elin S. "Virginia" Bertram Obituary

Virginia Bertram of Oakton, died of natural causes on November 11, 2020. She was born in 1924 in Haddonfield, NJ, and graduated from American University in Washington DC, where she met her beloved husband of 70 years, the late Clarence Bertram. They were married in New York City at the Little Church Around the Corner in 1948. Virginia was a devoted mother to Russell Eugene Bertram, of Oakton and Mary Elin Tauss (Brian) of Rixeyville, VA. She was the adoring Grandmother to Virginia (Dejan) Momirovic and Elin (Daniel) Reuben. She was also beloved by her nephews Christopher Sugalski and Mark Sugalski, her niece Julie Andrews, her dog Belle, and countless friends. Virginia possessed all the qualities to be a kind and caring nurse, which she loved doing , and she was a blessing to her patients. She was an active member of Vale United Methodist Church in Oakton, VA and a long-time member of the choir, and the United Methodist Women’s group, and served on many committees at Vale over the years. She was also very active in the Oakton Women’s Club and was often seen on the runway at the annual Fashion Show. Virginia was the epitome of grace, style, and kindness and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Services will be private.
