Mary Pauline “Dot” Justice, age 87, of Forest City, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Fairhaven of Forest City.

        Dot was born July 7, 1933 in Swain County to the late Tollie Dills and Martha Elizabeth Frady Dills.  Dot was a faithful member of Trinity Wesleyan Church. She was a graduate of Rutherford Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1955 and was the recipient of a prestigious Nursing Award for excellent bedside manner.  Dot worked for Parton’s Nursing Home and Rutherford Hospital for several years.  She owned and operated the Justice Daycare for more than twenty-five years and to this day, the “Justice Kids” remember the love and care that she gave to each one. She will forever be known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Millard F. Justice,; four brothers, Vincent, Wade, Henry and Fred Dills; four sisters, Thelma Price, Wilma Moffit, Rosie Cabe and Nan Reed.

     Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter Cyndi Justice of Bridgewater, VA; two sons, Tony Justice (Theresa) of Union Mills, Charles Justice (Cheryl) of Forest City; two grandsons, Bryan Justice of Union Mills, Jordan Justice (Taylor) of Boiling Springs, SC; sister, Flonnie Jolley of Bostic.

     The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ken Linder officiating.  Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
