Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Hospital on November 13, 2020, Cluny Strathie aged 69, of Bonavista.

Pre-deceased by father Harry Strathie and mother Meta Strathie (nee Way).

Left with fond & loving memories, daughter Sue Ann (Tyler); son Robert (Natalie); grandchildren, Piper, Brooklyn & Reed; brothers, Kenneth (Judy), & Bob; nephews, Adam, Stephen & Kris; and niece, Amy; great niece, Scarlett; a large circle of extended family & friends, including his card buddies (a lifetime of late nights); and life-long friend Dennis Hayley.

Some of the most important things in Cluny’s life were his grandchildren. His cross-country phone calls with Reed. Piper waiting at the window for him to drive by and him finally being able to make Brooklyn smile, will be etched in our hearts forever.

His love of his businesses & partners remained constant throughout his life including Strathie’s Funeral home & staff; staff & management of Family Memorials, Clarenville; F&S Investments, Clarenville; and Confederation Holdings. He kept you close to his heart and you were an important part of his life, even up until his time in the hospital.
