Obituary

Ty Alexander Williams (11 years old) went home to be with his heavenly Father with the Savior Jesus Christ interceding for him, Thursday, November 12, 2020. No words can express the pain we feel or come close to describing the joy Ty is experiencing now and forever. His parents, D. Travis Williams (father) and Elizabeth (Esclamado) Williams (mother); Zoe, Zac, and Cali (sisters and brother), Donald and Sandra Williams (grandparents), Ramon and Lorraine Esclamado (grandparents), Tonya (John) Baker, Tara (Matt) Hollingsworth, Laura (James) Alexander, Alex (Alyse) Esclamado and twelve cousins: Andrew, Alex, Grace, Aspen, Arden, David, Catie, Hannah, Mikey, Elena, Leo, and Adelaide, mourn the absence of their firstborn son, big brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin.  We stand firm in the hope of Heaven and a Sovereign God who comforts those who mourn.  Hundreds of others were touched by God through Ty’s short life and will miss this sweet, most loving child of God.

Ty was energetic, adventurous, and inquisitive.  He was developing a strong sense of justice, constantly standing up for what is right and good, and for those who could not stand up for themselves.  Ty was quoted saying, “I have many dreams. I want to help all the people in the world.” He was very athletic and loved playing football, basketball, running, jumping, biking, and dancing.  He was creative and artistic, full of compassion and quick to hug and share love with others. He had a broad easy smile, beautiful blue eyes, full of life, and a contagious laugh.

Ty belonged to North Wake Church in Wake Forest with his family.  He was a 5th grader at Rolesville Charter Academy, and played organized sports in his community. Ty enjoyed daily life with his very best twin buddies: Zac and Zoe, and delighted over his adoring baby sister, Cali.

When Ty was 9 years old, he professed faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Ty’s favorite verse was John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” In believing this, Ty wrote that “It is well with my soul, it is well with me”.  Ty has passed through the river of death and come to the shores of the Great City of God. We praise God that death is not the final word for all of those who believe in Jesus.  Because of the reality of John 3:16 and by grace through faith in Jesus, Ty has won his race and has entered into the joy of His King and joined with the thousands, ten thousands, and untold myriad of saints who have gone before him.

Memorial service is at Southeastern Seminary at Binkley Chapel at 2:30pm on Nov. 15. In lieu of flowers, his parents have requested donations be made to North Wake Church or Human Coalition.
