LaVerne was always the life of the party and made sure that everyone had a good time. She had the warmest smile, never met a stranger and had words of wisdom with all that crossed her path.
LaVerne leaves to cherish her memories her lifetime backbone Sabrina McClain-Poole (David); God-mother Carolyn “Grandma Cat” McClain; daughters Ebony McDonald, Chimere Barbee, and Natoyia Barbee; one son Zakee Shaw; brothers Wayne Cameron, John McDonald (Ahsue), Michael McDonald (Veronica), William McDonald (Marsha) and Jacoby Gooch (Danisha); sister Bridgette (Micki) Reed; grandchildren Chase McDonald, Jase Johnson, Shamonte Wall, Kensya Coltrane, Mahogani Morman, Addison Griffin and Amari Meeks; God-daughter Veronica Liles and a host of nephews, nieces.

You left without instructions,
but I knew what I had to do
I stepped in to help our kids
and will completely see them through
This all seems so unreal and unfair to me
I never imagined this to be
Sleep well my beautiful, loving and caring sister
you will always hold a special part of me
~
