Mary Frances Shrader Lambert Obituary

Mary Frances Farley Shrader Lambert passed away Wednesday November 11, 2020 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation following a long illness.

Born September 29, 1942 at Ellison, she was the daughter of the late Henry Beecher and Cosby D. Lilly Farley.  Mary was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church and a 1960 graduate of Hinton High School. After graduating high school, she moved to Massachusetts and went to work at Harvard University until 1973. Mary returned to West Virginia and graduated from Concord University in 1979. Following her graduation she was employed as a second-grade teacher at Talcott Elementary and then at Hinton Area Elementary until June 2004 when she retired.

Mary enjoyed being with her family and friends and visiting her farm on Ellison.  She was the kindest and most gentle person you could ever hope to meet.  All that knew her were blessed by her.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ivan C. Shrader and her second husband, Isaac “Ike” Lambert.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Stephen R. Shrader and his wife Megumi; one granddaughter, Eri Shrader all of Japan; one aunt; special friend, Don Dewitt and numerous special cousins and friends.

Graveside service and burial will be held 2:00 pm Monday November 16, 2020 at Lilly Crews Cemetery at Nimitz with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 pm.

Cousins will serve as pallbearers.
