KEOUGH (Aylward) Elizabeth-November 22, 1941 – November 12, 2020. It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth (Liz) Keough (Aylward) at Lakeside Homes in Gander. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by her husband, Tom (October 15, 2020), her parents James and Martina Alyward, brothers Francis( D’Arcy), Thomas Alyward and sister Theresa Herndon, her daughters Susan Elizabeth, Infant Baby Mary and niece Stephanie Anne. Leaving to mourn her children: Deborah (Mark), Linda (Lloyd), Tom (Jenesta), Rosemary(Derek), Brian (Jackie), Trisha (Dean), and Keith (Patty), son in law, Darryl Paul and grandchildren: Sheldon (Sarah), Nathan, Maxwell, Christopher (Kailey), Nicole, Morgan, Kaitlyn, Rachael, Stephen, Matthew and Mitchell and great grandchildren: Lucy and Zoey, her siblings Ellen Aylward in Clarenville and Margaret Kluge, Fort Myers, Florida. Our mother raised eight children and took great pride in keeping a clean household with all of us running around. She was proud of the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is fondly remembered for quiet conversation over numerous cups of tea with neighbors or relatives at the kitchen table on Heath Crescent. In later years, Mom and Dad moved to a Seniors residence on Kingsford Smith Place. She loved to enjoy the sun out on her patio and go for daily drives with Dad around Gander. Mom is now at peace, united with Dad and our beloved sister Susan. An angel has gained her wings. Our family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Lakeside Homes in Gander for taking wonderful care of our mother during her brief stay in this long term care facility. Donations in Mom’s memory may be given to the Canadian Diabetes Association. At Mom’s request, cremation has taken place and a Family visitation will take place at Stacey's Funeral Home on November 15, with Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Gander. A celebration of Mom and Dad’s life will be held in Duntara, Summer 2021.
