A Celebration of Life for Raymond Robert Lossett, Sr. who passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 will be held at a date to be determined. Raymond was born September 24, 1934 in New Orleans, LA. He graduated from Picayune Memorial High School in 1954. Raymond graduated from Pearl River Jr. College in 1956. He graduated Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Husbandry in 1958. He worked for MS State in the Physics Department. Raymond was enlisted in the MS National Guard for 6 years, and 2 years in the Reserves. Raymond worked at Stewart Machine Company, LSU Physics Department, and worked most of his career as a Machinist at Lossett's Inc. He retired from Cresent Elevator in 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Alphonse Lossett, Sr and Amy Francis Probst Lossett; his wife, Sherry Miller Lossett, whom he married in 1956.; and his son, Jason Lossett. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Raynell L. Spiers, Sherry L. (Nathen) Bychurch, Raymond R. (Lisa) Lossett, Jr, and Wesley Lossett; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
