<p>Timothy Duane Timmons, 61, of Sullivan, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.</p> <p>He was the husband of Paula (Samm) Timmons, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.</p> <p>Born in Linton, he was the son of the late William and Valeda Stewart Timmons.</p> <p>He was a graduate of Sullivan High School and a member of Merom United Methodist Church.</p> <p>He was a United Mine Worker for 20 years at Chinook and worked for Peabody Energy for 19 years.</p> <p>Timothy had a strong faith, who loved his Lord Jesus Christ and enjoyed many outdoor activities in God&rsquo;s wonderful creation.</p> <p>In addition to his wife, Timothy is survived by two daughters, Amy Purdy (Quintin) of Terre Haute and Melissa Timmons (Shane Walker) of Terre Haute; and three grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob and Jonathan Purdy.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Nyes Chapel Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana, with pastor Erich Blevins officiating.</p>

Timothy Duane Timmons, 61, of Sullivan, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

He was the husband of Paula (Samm) Timmons, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

Born in Linton, he was the son of the late William and Valeda Stewart Timmons.

He was a graduate of Sullivan High School and a member of Merom United Methodist Church.

He was a United Mine Worker for 20 years at Chinook and worked for Peabody Energy for 19 years.
