Obituary

Pamela Keeling passed away at the age of 55 at her residence in Mapleton, Utah Wednesday November 11, 2020. She was born on November 14, 1964 in Glendale, California to Don Lee Rogers, and Sonya Mae Carlston. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Keeling. They were married December 17, 1993 in the LDS Jordan River Temple.

Pam loved all things Disney. If she could have lived in Disneyland she would have without a second thought. She could tell you just about anything you would ever want to know about Disneyland. The only thing that matched her passion for Disneyland was working with kids. She worked at a grade school lunchroom, and knew every kids name and would greet them warmly by name as they passed though the lunch line. She also was a nursery leader for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for many years. She would say that she was ready to be released but the smile she had and fondness in her eyes as she talked about the children would tell you differently.

The only thing that eventually stopped her from working with children was when she was diagnosed with cancer. It was something that she had been battling with for years before and after her husband’s passing. She was a warrior who tried to do her best even while fear of the unknown and depression fought back. While fortunately the cancer gave her no physical pain, she struggled mentally and emotionally, but now she can rest after her long war.

Pam is survived by her 2 daughters Ashlee and Halley Keeling in Mapleton, Utah. She was preceded by her husband, and their 2 daughters Megan and Debra, as well as her father Don Rogers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11 am and a viewing the night before on Friday from 6-8 at the Pioneer 1st Ward Chapel 376 N 700 W Provo for friends. Because of COVID restrictions masks are required and social distancing expected. The funeral will be invitation only but available for all via Zoom.

Interment will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that in Pam's honor, a contribution can be made to a humanitarian effort of your choice or through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints humanitarian program.
