Robert W. Torres, 73, Deming resident passed away Wednesday November 11, 2020 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

No service will take place as were his wishes. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.

Robert was born April 28, 1947 to Lorraine Martin and Raymond Norbert Torres in Detroit, Michigan.Robert moved to Deming in 2002 coming from Westland, Michigan and made Deming his home.  He was a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and First United Methodist Church. He loved the outdoors, golfing, boating, traveling; his favorite pastime was model trains and carpentry.

He is survived by his partner, Cheryl Starbuck of the home; 3 children, Sheila Hull and husband Chris of Westland, MI, Tina Merritt and husband James of Dryden, MI and Robert W. Torres II of Deming; brother, Raymond Torres of Milford, MI; sisters, Sandra Marszalek of Garden City, MI and Ann Vandermoon of Cadillac, MI; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
