Donna J. Pacheco Obituary

Donna J. Pacheco, 64, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and dearest of friends on November 10, 2020. She was the loving wife Michael J. Pacheco, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage.

Donna was born in Fall River and was the daughter of the late Thomas Sherman and Gwendolyn (Curran) Sherman. Donna held a long and rewarding career as a registered nurse. She began her career in the maternity ward of Charlton Memorial Hospital and never left, having spent the last 40 years caring for newborns and their parents. Donna was a talented cross stitcher and created countless gifts for many. Donna also loved to spend hours planning family trips and vacationing with her loved ones, making many special memories. She also loved making and designing special birthday cakes over the years for her children and grandchildren.

Donna dedicated her life to her family and was a longtime member of both St. Thomas More Parish and St. Francis of Assisi (formerly St. Michael’s) where she served as a lector alongside her husband. She was a wonderful kind and caring woman who always put the needs of others before herself. Her heart was her guiding light, and it was important to bring her joy to others. With her comical ways, Donna could make light of just about any situation and always knew how to make others laugh. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her loving family and countless lifelong friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Bethany Henriques and her wife Nicole of Swansea, Kathryn Pacheco of Fall River and Michael Pacheco and his wife Courtney of Freetown; sister, Cheryl Ricardo and her husband Joseph of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Aiden Pacheco, Caydence Pacheco, Mason Pacheco and several nieces and nephews.

Donna is also survived by her “sisters of the heart” Jeanne Morrissette, Karin Stone and Jaye Fontaine.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 10am in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.

Burial will follow in the Vinnicum Woods Cemetery, Swansea.
