Willard Joseph Iberg Obituary

Willard Joseph Iberg, 85, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away November 10, 2020, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. He was born on January 23, 1935, in Plum City, Wisconsin, and was the son of the late Roy Ernest and Viola Buchholz Iberg. He was united in marriage to Ruby Carlene Milde on September 13, 1958, and to this union four children were born. His parents; son, Kenneth Iberg; sister, Edna Ottman; and father and mother-in-law, Carl and Flora Milde preceded him in death. Willard worked many years for Emerson Electric as Chief Engineer. He and his wife enjoyed volunteering at area nursing homes. He worked the Piggott 4th of July and Greenway Picnics. He volunteered with the Piggott Planning and Zoning Commission for 4 years and the food bank of Pollard. He was an Alumni of the University of Minnesota. He enjoyed traveling and had been on 26 cruises. Above all, he loved his family. Survivors include his wife Carlene Milde Iberg of Piggott, Arkansas; children, Marsha Bell and husband Colin of Piggott, Arkansas, Catherine Matyas and partner Clyde Standridge of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and Gene Iberg and wife Glenda of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter-in-law Mary Iberg of Collierville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Wendy Rauf of Westminster, Colorado, Christopher Matyas and wife Hannah of St. Louis, Missouri, Adrianne Iberg of Atlanta, Georgia, Alexander Iberg and wife Karson of Memphis, Tennessee, Elliott Iberg and wife Maddie of Nashville, Tennessee, and Courtney Iberg of St. Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Haley Matyas of St. Louis, Missouri, Ezzah Rauf of Westminster, Colorado, Taylor Matyas of St. Louis, Missouri, and London Rose Matyas of St. Louis, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
