Barbara Normandin, 76, of Cadyville passed away Tuesday November 10, 2020 at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Cadyville, NY on January 5, 1944 the daughter of John and Gladys (Brooks) Rabideau. In her life she held many jobs, but was most proud of her job working as a Deputy Matron for the Clinton County Sheriff’s office. However, her absolute favorite role in life was being a Wife and Mother. In her spare-time, she enjoyed scratch off lottery tickets, reading, coloring and spending time with family. Barbara was predeceased by her parents a daughter Jean (Normandin)Yildiz, her siblings; Harold “John” Rabideau, Gary Rabideau and sisters Marion Benware, Elizabeth “Betty” Burgess, June St. Louis, Joyce Normandin, and Dorothy Gifford. She is survived by her husband of fifty eight years Charles “Sonny” Normandin, her children; Larry Normandin and his domestic partner Maryellen Favreau of Ellenburg Center, Ann Fredenburg and her husband Jeff of Morrisonville, Bernard Normandin and his wife Jennifer of Hartwell, GA, Tina Chauvin and her husband Daniel of King, NC, a son-in-law, Ali Yildiz of Morrisonville, her siblings Francis Rabideau of Lenoir, NC, Marie Drollette and her husband Gary of Cadyville, grandchildren; Charlie Jean (James) Hellier, Hunter and Gage Fredenberg, Halle and Ibrahim Yildiz, Alexzandra Chauvin, Raigan (Paul) Rezzo; great grandchildren; Killian and George Rezzo, many nieces and nephews, especially her backup caregivers, nephew Travis and wife Mindy Rabideau. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday November 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander’s Church, Morrisonville. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Cadyville. Memorial donations may be made to St. Alexander Catholic Church, Morrisonville and Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 3 Park Row, Cadyville, NY. Online condolences may be offered at www.brownfuneralhomeinc.com.
