It is with great sadness that the family of Kristine L. Hibbits, age 49 announces her passing on May 23, 2017. She was born on March 20th, 1968 in Bellingham, WA to Sue and James Holtzheimer. A US Army veteran, Kris was a devoted mother and wife. Married September 17th 1994 to Bob Hibbits, they enjoyed over 22 wonderful years together. Kris would volunteer at her children’s school and with them she shared her deep love for all living creatures. More than anything, Kris loved her family deeply, always putting everyone before herself. She enjoyed road trips, going to see movies at the drive-in and vacations with her family. Kris had the most contagious laugh and always knew how to make you smile. She was everyone’s best friend and the glue of her family. Many of her daughters’ friends said she was like a second mother to them — her open arms made her loved by all. Kris is survived by her husband of 22 years, Bob. Daughters Raine (21) and Leah (19), parents Sue and James Holtzheimer, her brother Scott Holtzheimer and in-laws Don and Lee Hibbits. Kris will be forever remembered by those whose hearts she touched and those who were lucky enough to call her friend. Services will be held on June 10th from 3-6pm at The Lakeview Chapel – 4606 108th St. SW, Lakewood, WA.
