Mrs. Catherine Joiner passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Newberry County on April 13, 1949 to the late Willie Baxter and the late Sallie Mae Bedenbaugh Baxter.  She dedicated her life to Jehovah God in February 2014.  Catherine was a member of the Newberry North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and served as regular pioneer for three years.  She attended pioneer school once, showing her love, dedication, strength and faith to Jehovah God.  Mrs. Joiner worked several jobs in Newberry County before retiring after twenty years as executive housekeeper for Holiday Inn.

Mrs. Joiner was quiet, but strong and kind to all she met.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and sharing Bible truth with them and teaching them about her God Jehovah.  She loved gardening and planting flowers.

Mrs. Joiner was predeceased by a brother, Donnie Baxter.

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Luther Joiner,  Jr. (Sunnie) of Simpsonville, SC; John Joine and James Joiner; three daughters, Cathie Scurry and Wakima Joiner of all of Newberry, SC; Ladeketra Whitener (Darryl) of Clinton, SC; two sisters, Dorothy Bedenbaugh of Rochelle, NJ and Mary Ruff of Newberry, SC; two brothers Stanley Baxter and Randy Williams of Newberry SC; nineteen grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren cousins, Maggie Crook, Clara Dawkins, Roy Lee Baxter, Saleem and Lisa Sims; one sister-in-law, Mary Gray (Earl); brother-n-law, Carl Joiner all of Newberry, SC; nieces and nephews including Niki Martin; spiritual brothers and sisters, Alexander and Ida Johnson; Delbert and Debbie Bowers; Rachel Etheredge, Barbara Carson, Roberta Glymph, Gracie and Michelle Maybin and Nova Miles; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
