Patricia Ann (Tumblin) Rapp, 87, went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2020. Pat was born on September 24, 1933 to Walker and Audrey (Foust) Tumblin in Conesville, Ohio. Raised in Coshocton, Ohio, she graduated from Otterbein College where she met her husband Don. They were married for 64 years until his passing in August of this year. She was the first in her family to graduate from college. She began her career as a first grade teacher and served in various capacities as a classroom teacher and elementary school music teacher in the Trotwood/Dayton, Ohio area. Music was her passion. A skilled pianist and accompanist, she taught piano lessons and directed choirs. She loved to sing and participated in musical groups all her life. For a brief time she ran a consignment gift shop called Betsey Trotwood’s Sunshine Cottage in Trotwood. Pat loved children and was fully devoted to her family. She was light hearted and knew how to laugh at herself. She attended church faithfully and served on many committees. She was a member of the Tau Epsilon Mu Sorority and Christian Women’s Club. Pat and Don moved to New Smyrna Beach, Florida in 2006 to escape the harsh Ohio winters and to be near their youngest daughter’s family. They spent their last two years at Florida Lutheran Good Samaritan Society. She is survived by her 3 children, Linda, Tom and Mary Ann and their spouses; 6 grandchildren whom she adored; nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being made by Lankford Funeral Home in Deland, Florida.
