Donald Anteau Obituary

Donald Anteau Jr., 57 of Lambertville, MI, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020, at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on April 5, in Toledo, OH, and was the son of Donald George and Patricia (Chavalia) Anteau Sr. Don and Carylon exchanged their wedding vows on October 18, 1986 in Temperance, MI. In their 34 years together they created a loving family and shared many happy memories together. He was employed with S & D Coffee as a Service Technician for the past two years and 20 years at Home Depot prior to that. Don is most remembered for his quick wit and diverse hobbies. He took pride in his well-manicured lawn and enjoyed sharing his green thumb gardening knowledge with others. Don kept his cars as equally pristine through rigorous maintenance and cleaning. He was always reminding everyone not to scratch the Cadillac luxury. If Don wasn’t in his yard or the garage, you could probably find him in an antique store. An avid collector of many things, he especially loved his vintage Tonka trucks that reminded him of his childhood. In his downtime he loved to spoil his beloved dog Bailey. He also welcomed any opportunity to take an adventure to northern Michigan and cherished the many family memories made there. Don is preceded in death by his parents and younger brother Gregory. He is survived by his loving wife, Carylon S. Anteau; children, Justin (Chelsea Tetzlaff) and Logan (Rebecca Soisson) Anteau; sister Hope (Nikki) Anteau; and other relatives and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Monday, November, 16, 2020 from 4:00 - 7:00pm followed by a time for sharing memories and stories of Don. The service is to be held at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman Rd.) Temperance, Michigan 48182. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) in honor of Don. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
