Larry John Cottrill, 69, of Peoria Heights passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 7, 1951 in Pittsburg, PA to Burton A. and Elaine K. Thoren Cottrill. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He married Linda M. Rindal July 23, 1983 in Marietta, GA; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Denise (Dustin) Baker, Donna Cottrill; granddaughter, Ashlynn Baker; siblings, Paul (Diane) Cottrill, Allen Cottrill, Bill (Linda A.) Cottrill and many nieces and nephews. Larry proudly served in the U.S. Army serving during the Viet Nam War. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2602 in Peoria Heights and was a past District 4 Commander. He worked in printing retiring in 2001. Larry loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved attending the Indy 500 races. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com
