Randall Allen France

Randall Allen France, 70 of Indianapolis passed away on November 9, 2020. He was born on Sept 27, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Donald and Patricia (Forrest) France. He graduated from Southport High School class of 1969. After graduation he attended Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa Oklahoma where he received his Airframe and Powerplant Technician Certificate. He worked at Allison Transmission in Speedway Indiana as an experimental transmission mechanic. Following his time at Allison Randy and his wife Charlene started their own real estate business. He spent several years teaching others and building friendships through his business ventures. He enjoyed travel, playing poker and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was survived by his wife Charlene France, his five children Joshua France, April Bryant, Deborah Woodcock, Terri Heffron (Will), and Robert Williams (Julie). And eleven grandchildren Johann, Adelle, Isabelle, and Josephine Woodcock, Nathaniel, Eva, Mackenzie, and Brityn Heffron, Cecelia and Tessa Williams and Katie Akers. He is also survived by his sister Victoria Johnson, and two brothers, Robert and Richard France. He was proceeded in death by his parents Donald and Patricia France. It was Randy’s wish that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Riley Cheer Guild. The Cheer Guild is a nonprofit organization that serves families and children in the Riley Children’s hospital. They provide comfort and cheer to their patients. Randy was particularly fond of their Toy Room program that provides crafts, toys and games to children. Memorial contributions can be made to Riley Cheer Guild and mailed to 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Room 4510, Indianapolis Indiana 46202 or online through their donate tab at www.rileycheerguild.org. Please mark all donations in Memory of Randy France. Visitation will be Sunday November 15, 2020 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at GH Hermann 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis with a service at 1:00pm. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.ghherrmann.com Due to COVID restrictions masks will be required during visitation and the services. Social distancing measures will be in place. For those unable to attend in person, services will be livestreamed at 1:00 pm through the GH Hermann Facebook page and will be available for viewing for 24 hours after the service.
