RoJean Massey went to be with the Lord on November 9th in Hobbs, NM.  She was born in Roosevelt County near Dora, NM, and graduated from Dora High School.  She moved to Portales and attended Eastern New Mexico College just long enough to meet her future husband, Ivey, who she married on May 11, 1945.  While waiting for Ivey to return from service in the Navy, she worked for AAA office.  RoJean assisted her husband in the insurance business in Hobbs for about 40 years.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and mother, crocheting, embroidering, gardening.

In 1958, the Masseys became charter members of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church.  They were both members of Gideons International for 50 years.  RoJean was also very involved in the Women's Missionary Union at her church.  She loves God and enjoyed serving Him.

RoJean was preceded in death by Ivey, her husband of 75 years, who passed away May 13, 2020.  She is survived by two daughters, Connie Massey of Hobbs, and Iva Jean Montgomery and her husband Dewayne of Lubbock, two granddaughters, Christy Lynch and her husband Ben of Lubbock, Melissa Rubert and her husband Tim of Rochester, Washington, and nine great-grandchildren:  James, Steven, Jacob, Jonathan, Caitlin and Daniel Lynch of Lubbock, and Dylan, Isabella and Faith Rubert of Rochester, Washington.  RoJean also leaves behind one sister-in-law, Bettye Albers of Madill, Oklahoma, and nieces and nephews in Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Colorado.
