Norma Mae Silliman Andrews

MANNING – Norma Mae Silliman Andrews, 85, wife of Newell Zebulon Andrews, Jr., died Monday, November 9, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born September 27, 1935, in Camden, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Walter Norman Silliman and the late Annie Mae Daniel Silliman. She graduated from Columbia College in 1955 and remained active with the Alumni Association. She served as Clarendon County Auditor for 17 years. Norma was a member of the Clarendon Pilot Club, the South Carolina Auditors & Assessors Organization, and Manning First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of Manning; a son, Richard A. Andrews (Sharon) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a daughter, Alicia Andrews Piner (Bill) of Hilton Head; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Andrews of Stone Mountain, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Tony Andrews, Jake Andrews (Rachel), Jesse Andrews, Taylor Andrews, Danielle Andrews, Morgan Silliman Dunlap (Wade) and Liam Piner; a great grandson, Mason Andrews; and a niece, Laurie Chesnut (Bart) of Maryland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Andy Andrews and Ross Andrews; and a sister, Dorothy Chesnut and her husband, Bob. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Manning First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Phillip Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarendon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bill Piner, Liam Piner, Taylor Andrews, Wade Dunlap, Morgan Dunlap and Danielle Andrews. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Manning First Baptist Church.
