Danny G. Cracknell, Sr., 68, Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 9:11 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 14, 2020 at First Church of God, 2020 E. Lincolnway, LaPorte, IN with Pastor John Newton and Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Saturday at First Church of God. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born November 11, 1951 in Alliance, OH to the late Walter "Danny" and Rachel (Marshall) Cracknell. On July 17, 1999 in LaPorte, IN he married Kathy Ann Miller who survives in Rolling Prairie, IN.

Also surviving are a daughter, Rachel (JR) McNeal; two sons, Danny G. Cracknell, Jr. and Jason Cracknell; six grandchildren, Hannah, Renee, Joel and Ethan Cracknell and Caleb and Reese McNeal; and his beloved dog, Sammie.

Danny retired from the AM General Motors Plant, Mishawaka, IN and also was a former Pastor who performed missionary work in Guatemala. He attended Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, Florida. He was a member of First Church of God, LaPorte, IN. and had volunteered at LaPorte Hospital. Danny enjoyed golfing, playing soccer and baseball, shooting firearms on his property, and was an Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his heart warming hugs and his strong love and faith that he had for his church. He was a kind spirit that would light up any room and he made you feel safe and loved no matter who you were. Danny was known by his family for being "Old Goat Strong".
