<p>Mikhail Romanovich Belenkiy, 83, passed away on November 7, 2020 in West Newton, MA, surrounded by family.</p> <p>A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, at 12:00 noon, at Eaton Funeral Home in Needham, MA.</p> <p>The son of Ruvim and Haia Belenkiy, Mikhail was born in Lepel, Belarus, in 1937.&nbsp; Mikhail is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nina; his younger sister Nina; his children Roman, Irina, and Evelyn; grandchildren Yvonne, Maksim, Alexander, Sophia, Jacob, Alexandra, great-granddaughter Melia, and numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p>After losing his father during WWII, in 1945, Mikhail became the pillar of the family, which he remained for the rest of his life. Mikhail was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.&nbsp; He adored his wife and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Among his favorite activities were nature hikes, mushroom picking, and his all-time favorite - fishing.</p> <p>His sense of humor, sparkling optimism, and sunny personality will be greatly missed by both his friends and family.</p> <p>I lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association to help combat this terrible disease.</p> <p>www.alz.org</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
