Joyce Collins Connors Brockport, NY: Went home to the Lord November 8, 2020 at the age of 90. Joyce is predeceased by her husband, William Connors; son, Timothy; and grandson, Sgt. Patrick M. Werme, USMC; parents Cornelius (“Chill”) and Daisy Belle Collins and sisters Mary Edna, Gladys, Helen, and Teresa and best friend and sister-in-law, Noelle Myers. Joyce is survived by her sons Charles (Joyce) Connors, Robert (Patricia) Connors and daughters Mary Werme and Anne (Steve) Luther. Grandchildren Terry Connors and SSgt. Shannon Connors, USMC; Sarah (David) Caiazza; Michele (Patrick) Herrmann; Christopher Werme; Elizabeth (Brad) Koetsier; Rachel (Kevin) Kirk; Cpl. Mary Elizabeth Hill, USMC, and Alexis Rizzo. Great Grandchildren Angelo and Michela Caiazza, Aidan Herrmann, Brecken and Landen Koetsier, Dominik Joseph Hill, and Christian Patrick Kirk, as well as many nieces and nephews. Joyce loved teaching and taught English at the A.D. Oliver Middle School for close to 20 years. She loved her growing family and enjoyed watching them grow. Most of all, she was a woman of faith who carved out time for the Lord every morning. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale/Evergreen Place for the care and comfort provided to Joyce. We are deeply appreciative for everything you have done for her over the past two years. She loved all of you. A special thanks goes out to Jean Martin Brooks for sharing her music talents in Joyce’s final days. There will be no prior calling hours. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations in Joyce’s memory can be made to Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 152 Main Street, Brockport, NY 14420
