Rita Louise Pike

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late RITA L. PIKE of St. Lawrence announces her passing. Rita passed away at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre, St. Lawrence on Sunday, November 8th, 2020 at the age of 73. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband William (Bud) of 52 years; sons, Darrell Pike (Amy) of St. Lawrence, Darren Pike (Tracy) of St. Lawrence, and Troy Pike (Paula Dalton) of St. John’s; 7 grandchildren, Bradley (Lisa), Stephanie (Jeff), Danielle (Shawn), Jordan (Nadia), Devin (Cassandra), Megan and James; 9 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Grayden, Carsen, Kristian, Aidan, Jillian, Ivy, Rhys, and Jackson; sisters, Judy Hogan (Bob) of Paradise, and Mary Jordan of St. John’s; brother, Jerry Hogan (Francis) of St. John’s; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Rita was predeceased by her parents, Patrick & Mary Hogan; sisters, Shirley Hogan and Betty Moore; brothers, Patrick, Tom, Robert and William Hogan.

The Pike Family will be accepting visitors at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in St. Lawrence on Wednesday, November 11th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. In order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health advisory of COVID 19, a walk through visitation will take place. A maximum of 20 people at any one time permitted. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the church and masks are required.

Please note that there is no food permitted in the building.

Due to limited capacity because of the COVID–19 restrictions, a private Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, St. Lawrence on Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery, St. Lawrence.

In Rita’s memory donations may be made to The Pike Family or flowers are gratefully accpeted.
