<p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Sam &ldquo;Bill&rdquo; Adcock, 85, passed away November 5, 2020 in Jefferson City.&nbsp; He was born November 16, 1934 to Harry R. Adcock and Mabel (Rains) Adcock in Eldon.&nbsp; He lived in Eldon his entire life.&nbsp; Bill married Darlene (Jester) on August 11, 1956.&nbsp; He graduated from Eldon High School in 1952 and Ranken Technical Institute in 1955.&nbsp; Bill worked for Woodman Engineering in Jefferson City for 35 years and also operated Adcock Refrigeration in Eldon.&nbsp; Bill and Darlene retired and lived on the family Century Farm, Adcock Corners, which was established in 1840.&nbsp; He was a member of the Etterville Christian Church.&nbsp; Bill enjoyed time with his family, vacations in Colorado with Darlene and family, woodworking, fishing and being with his many friends.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>He is survived by his wife Darlene of Eldon; daughters Karen Polly (Ron) of New Haven, Missouri; Kathy Haynes (John) of Jefferson City; Jolynda Langston (Mike) of New Jersey; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; mother-in-law Stella Jester of Eldon, sisters-in-law Berniece Adcock of Eldon; Della Fern Hood of Eldon; Donna Kliethermes of Olathe, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews. &nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Ruth Russell; and brothers Rue Adcock and Ralph Adcock.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Graveside services are planned for 2 p.m. November 13, 2020 at Hickory Hill cemetery with Minister Bill Lange officiating.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in his name are suggested to the Etterville Christian Church or Hickory Hill Cemetery.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Due to the current COVID pandemic, the family is requesting everyone practice social distancing and wear face masks when possible.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Obituary

Sam “Bill” Adcock, 85, passed away November 5, 2020 in Jefferson City.  He was born November 16, 1934 to Harry R. Adcock and Mabel (Rains) Adcock in Eldon.  He lived in Eldon his entire life.  Bill married Darlene (Jester) on August 11, 1956.  He graduated from Eldon High School in 1952 and Ranken Technical Institute in 1955.  Bill worked for Woodman Engineering in Jefferson City for 35 years and also operated Adcock Refrigeration in Eldon.  Bill and Darlene retired and lived on the family Century Farm, Adcock Corners, which was established in 1840.  He was a member of the Etterville Christian Church.  Bill enjoyed time with his family, vacations in Colorado with Darlene and family, woodworking, fishing and being with his many friends.
