Mary E. Smith, 88, of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away on Monday, October 05, 2015 at Forest Glen Health Campus in Springfield. She was born on January 1, 1927, in Lawrence County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Roy and Nettie (Dillon) Walker. She is survived by one son, Mark (Barbara) Smith of Springfield, one sister, Ruth Ward of Springfield, two grandchildren: Lisa (Mike) Massengill and Mandy (Jason) McCleary; two great grandchildren: Dorian and Kirsten McCleary; and two nieces: Patty Hiatt and Debbie (Alex) Komlos. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul R. Smith, her second husband, Augie Hans, three sisters: Lillian Gamble, Joann Copley, and Pearl Minnich; one brother, Clovis Walker, and one grandson, Mark Smith Jr. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where a celebration of her life will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
