DAVID EUGENE KOHN, 75 of Springfield died, February 17, 2004 in Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 8, 1928 the son of James W. and Ada M. (Dunlap) Kohn. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Yellow Springs, the UAW Local 402 and Local 926. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Connie Burke (Shannon) Jackson of Springfield, Candy Kohn (Mark) Valentine of Grove City, Jean Kohn (Robert) Grant of Florida and Terri Kohn of Georgia; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. (Janet Sue) Burke of Springfield; two sisters, Julia R. Tuvell of Tremont City, Jo Anne E. Swords of Montrose, Michigan; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife, Doris (Auckerman) Kohn in October 2000, his parents, three sisters, Mary L. Harwood, Faith D. Snyder and Esther Kohn and two brothers, James W. Kohn and Linn E. Kohn. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2004 from 6 - 8 p.m. with Masonic Services starting at 7:30 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, SPRINGFIELD. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 19, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor James Slaughter officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Burial Park.
