Obituary

Richard Allen Kennedy "Ricky" age 46 of Greenacres, Florida passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2020.  Ricky was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on June 30, 1974.  Ricky was an avid collector of Big Foot and loved finding new items or receiving birthday or Christmas gifts with anything Big Foot on it.  Ricky enjoyed fishing with his mom, he enjoyed playing at the arcade with his son Alex.  Alex was Ricky's world, he was so very proud of the man Alex grew into.

Ricky leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Vicki Drowatzky, his step-father of 44 years, Rick Drowatzky.  Ricky's father Joseph Kennedy of Kingston, NY; his sister Barbara (Bobby Jo) Drowatzky (finance Ken).  Ricky was preceded in death by his beloved sister Michelle Kennedy.  Others left to cherish Ricky's love and memory include his aunts: Sandi, Toni, and Robin along with several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Ricky's pride and joy is his son, Alex Kennedy.  Ricky, along with his son Alex and his dad Joe had just spent a week together in Disney.  Three generations of Kennedy men had the time of their lives!  Reconnecting old memories and making new memories.  They were so happy to spend that time together.

Ricky worked as a GI Tech at Laser and Surgery Center of the Palm Beaches.  The many people that worked with Ricky adored him, so many caring people have reached out to Ricky's mom Vicki with heartfelt memories, cards, and stories.   Richard was one of the funniest people anybody could meet; he could walk into a room and in minutes have everyone laughing.  He was always kind and was loved by all.  His co-workers thought the world of him; he loved his family, but more than anyone his son.  He will always be greatly missed but always in our hearts.

Please join us in the memorial celebration of Ricky's life on Sunday, November 15, 2020.  The memorial will be held at Glick Family Funeral Home, located at 3600 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton, Fl. 33431 (561-672-1880).  The service will begin at 12:00 PM (noon).  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the family to help cover the funeral expenses.   Please message on FB or call for information.
