Myrtle "Ilene" Larson, age 88, previously of Chester, Iowa passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Accura Healthcare in Cresco, Iowa. Friends are welcome to join the family from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville, Iowa.  A public graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Chester Hill Cemetery in rural Chester, Iowa. Ilene Beaston was born February 25, 1932 in Howard County the daughter of James and Anna Beaston.  She graduated from Chester High School in 1950.  On January 1, 1951, she married Charles Larson at the United Lutheran Church in Chester, Iowa.  To this union three children were born:  Richard, John and Jolene. Her family was a very important part of her life.  Ilene always made time for visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed making cakes, going to the sale barn with her children and grandchildren, butchering chickens, dancing and listening to music, doing puzzles, playing cards, dice, and lots of other games.  She also enjoyed being with all the staff and residents at Accura Healthcare.  Ilene is survived by her sons: Richard (Kathy) Larson of Chester, IA, and John (Rhonda) Larson of Chester, IA , and daughter: Jolene Lammers (John Erbe) of Ridgeway, IA,  twelve grandchildren: Chad Larson, Jennifer (Jason) Halfpap, Lisa (Jason) Petersen, James “Jimmy” (Kelly) Larson, Jeremiah (LaTrisha) Larson, Jason Larson, Stacy (Nathan) Shaw, Chuck Larson (Becky Fritcher), Stephanie Lammers, Jeremy Lammers, Christi (Bob) Bonow, and Nikki Larson (Alex Logue), 21 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by one brother-in-law, Stanley (Joanne) Larson, of Chester, IA as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ilene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents, and her father and mother in-law: Kenneth and Jennie Larson.
