Graveside Funeral Services for Billy Joe Creel, Sr., age 71, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020, will be held Sunday, November 8, 2020, at 3:00 pm at White Chapel Cemetery, Carriere, MS. Visitation will be Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at White Chapel Cemetery. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Rev. Bud Putnam will officiate the service, assisted by Bro. Shad Kennedy. A native of Picayune, MS, he was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Bill loved delivering parts for Putnam's Auto Parts for many years. He enjoyed fishing, singing, landscaping, and spending time with his family. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father, Pawpaw, brother, uncle, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carsie "Wimpy" William Creel and Anna Rebecca Caudle Creel. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Edna Creel; his children. Anna (Jim) Glaxner, Billy Joe Creel, Jr., Richard (Clista) Huber, and Steve (Geri) McKenzie; 8 grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Thompson, Brittany (Chad) McCraney, Devon (Justin) Dean, Brandon (Charie) Huber, Tyler Huber, Todd (Kacie) Huber, Kristen (Brian) Hodgson, Kyle (Courtney) McKenzie, Chloe and Jesse Creel; several great grandchildren; his sisters and brother, Barbara Evans, Larry (Debbie) Creel, and Gail (Steve) Scott; and several nieces and nephews.
