Rosaleen "Rose" Paulina Gould Obituary

On Thursday, November 5, 2020, Rosaleen (Rose) P. Gould - loving wife and mother of two children, passed away after a seven-year battle with ovarian cancer.  She was born in Torrance, CA on March 5, 1976 to parents Raymond Earl Morgan lll and Rosita Diana (La Marchina).

After moving to Seattle in Aug 1990, Rose attended Franklin High School, graduating in 1994.  She went on to Shoreline CC where she received her AA in 1996.  Rose moved to Bellingham in 1996 to attend Western Washington University graduating with her BA in Business Marketing in 1999.  Rose’s desire to seek higher education led her to receive her Master’s degree in early childhood education from City University in 2012.

Rose and Tim met in August 1998 and were married in June 2001.  During their years together, they welcomed two daughters - Morgan (17) and Kelsey (14).  Rose was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost.  She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them.

Rose loved traveling with Tim and their girls and scrapbooking each adventure and milestone.  She also loved hiking, walking their family dog Goldie, and spending time with family and friends as often as possible.  Rose was involved in numerous small groups and bible studies over the years and had been a member of Bellingham Christ the King Church.

Rose was a loyal, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, co-worker, and friend to many.  Rose was also an incredibly devoted first grade teacher at Skyline Elementary in the Ferndale School District for the past 7 years.  She was patient and kind and put her all into helping every child in her room succeed.  Her students were a big part of the strength and determination she exhibited during her treatments and extended cancer journey.  Rose always chose to focus on the positive in life and loved giving to others more than receiving for herself.

She is survived by her husband Tim; daughters Morgan and Kelsey; mother Rosita and Mike Hinrichs; father Raymond Morgan III and Pam; and siblings Raymond Morgan IV, Rachel Braden, Tyler Morgan, and Madison Morgan.

Due to COVID-19, there are no services scheduled at this time.  A celebration of Rose’s life is being planned for late spring/early summer 2021.
