Kelvin K. Trafton Obituary

Kelvin “Kelly” Trafton, 60, of Wells, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. He was born January 16, 1960 in Sanford to Charles and Virginia (Woodman) Trafton. Kelly attended Wells schools growing up and worked for the Maine Turnpike Authority for 20 years. He had a heart of gold but was also very stubborn. He was compassionate towards his hobbies and family and also flirtatious at times. Kelly enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, eating venison livers provided by his nephew Jay, target shooting, boating, reading poetry, writing poetry and songs, watching action movies, horror movies, boxing, and the nightly news, car rides to the beach, gardening, fresh flowers, beautiful sunny days, trips to Foxwoods Casino to play the slot machines, eating fried clams from Fisherman’s Catch, warm flannels, escaping to Florida and Virginia during the cold Maine winters, reading the bible with his sister Dottie, and his wife’s home cooking. Even with all those hobbies, his greatest love was spending time with his family. Kelly is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Virginia Trafton; niece, Virginia Berry; nephews, Kenny Graham and Larry Trafton; and mother-in-law, Williaminia Zsolnay. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Suzette (Westfall) Trafton of Wells; daughters, Nicole Trafton of Wells and Kelly Dressler and her husband Geoffrey of Smithfield, VA; father-in-law, Bill Zsolnay of Lakeland, FL; grandsons, Alexander Giambrone of Wells, Abe Eid of Wells, Blake and Bryce Dressler of Smithfield, VA; sisters, Jane Vecchio, Dottie Heath, Tammy Andruilli, Judy Gallinari, and Joyce Vermillion; brothers, Larry Trafton and Charlie Trafton; and many friends, cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. A private memorial service will be held.
