Gary Walrath Gary Walrath, 65, of Poultney, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at his residences following a long illness. He was born September 13, 1955 in Oneonta, NY, the son of William and Marion (Sutton) Walrath. Mr. Walrath attended local schools. He was a farmer for a number of years and then a cattle truck driver for a period of time. He enjoyed stock car racing as a driver and spectator. Mr. Walrath is survived by the mother of his children Elizabeth Sherwood, his daughters Carrie Walrath of Poultney, LeeAnn Martindale of Comstock NY, Danielle Hammond of Hudson Falls, NY, 18 grandchildren, 6 great- grandchildren a niece and a nephew. He was predeceased by a sister Jolene Wilsey and 2 grandchildren, Shawn and Sierra Martindale. There will be no services locally. He will be buried in a family plot in Maryland, New York. Arrangements are by the Durfee Funeral Home ,119 North Main Street, Fair Haven Vermont.
