<p>Charles Wesley &lsquo;Hobo&rsquo; Cook, 76, of Sandborn, IN, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. &nbsp;He was born on July 25, 1944 to Charles Nolan Cook and Imogene (Hunt) Mart in Crofton, KY. Wesley married, his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara (Johnson) Cook on January 5, 1963.</p> <p>Wesley worked for Peabody Coal Co., as a supply truck driver, with 40 years of service.&nbsp; He was a member of Sandborn United Methodist Church and Elnora Masonic Lodge.&nbsp; Wesley coached little league baseball with Virgil McKee and Frank McCrary.&nbsp; He enjoyed making walking sticks and giving them away to his many friends.</p> <p>Family left to cherish the memory of Wesley include: his wife, Barbara; two sons, Tommy Ray (Robin) Cook, Kevin Dale (Becky) Cook both of Sandborn; grandchildren, Clay (Jordy) Cook of Sandborn, Sarah (Reis) Driver of Paducah, KY, Kaitlyn and Ashley Cook both of Evansville; great-granddaughter, Lilly Mae; two brothers, Darrell (Molly) Cook of Nortonville, KY, Ray Mart of Crofton, KY; two sisters, Carolyn Hammell of Tampa, FL and Loretta (Dennis) Owens of Crofton, KY.</p> <p>Wesley was preceded in death by: his parents, step-father Hanson Mart and brother Donnie Cook.</p> <p>Funeral services for Wesley will be on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM&nbsp;at Sandborn United Methodist Church in Sandborn, IN. with Rev. Tom Anderson officiating.&nbsp; He will be laid to rest at Ridge Top Cemetery in Crofton, KY.&nbsp;</p> <p>Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church.</p> <p>Memorial contributions may be made to Sandborn United Methodist Church or Sandborn United Methodist Women.&nbsp; Envelopes will be available at the church.</p> <p>Following CDC guidelines, face masks will be required and continue with social distancing please.</p> <p>All arrangements were entrusted to Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton. Charles Wesley ‘Hobo’ Cook, 76, of Sandborn, IN, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on July 25, 1944 to Charles Nolan Cook and Imogene (Hunt) Mart in Crofton, KY. Wesley married, his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara (Johnson) Cook on January 5, 1963.

Wesley worked for Peabody Coal Co., as a supply truck driver, with 40 years of service.  He was a member of Sandborn United Methodist Church and Elnora Masonic Lodge.  Wesley coached little league baseball with Virgil McKee and Frank McCrary.  He enjoyed making walking sticks and giving them away to his many friends.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sandborn United Methodist Church or Sandborn United Methodist Women.  Envelopes will be available at the church.
