Patricia Jane Perme Obituary

Following a brief, but catastrophic illness, Trish Perme left this earth for her heavenly home on November 4, 2020.

She was born March 21, 1951, in Harrison, Arkansas, the third child to John Perme and Mary Elizabeth Maca Perme.  At a young age she moved to Texas with her family where she grew to be a happy and delightful young lady.  After high school she took some classes at San Antonio Junior College and experienced many happy travels and adventures.  She spent some time in Battle Creek, Michigan where she realized her spiritual calling and embraced the Seventh Day Adventist religion.  From there she journeyed to Louisiana to care for her sister, Liz, during that sister's time of need.  Later, she traveled to Hawaii for a short period, then finally settled in Coquille, Oregon to be with her dad.  Her adventurous spirit was quelled by a serious health issue in the 1980s, but she fought her way back.  Eventually she earned an accounting degree and earned her CPA license.  Her beloved Texas called her back in 2000 and she went to work for the state in Austin.  This was her life for 14 years while caring for her dad before his passing.  She also lovingly cared for her mom who passed from Alzheimer's.  In 2014 Trish was struck with another debilitating illness and eventually relocated to North Carolina to be near her sister Liz and family.  Her illness left her disabled and unable to work any longer, but it didn't keep her from sewing and cooking. Her yard was full of beautiful flowers.  She and her white dog, Pearl, could often be seen walking around town.  And, she continued her love of her Savior Jesus Christ through work with her church.  In both Oregon and Texas, Trish was an active participant in her church and in Albemarle, North Carolina, even more so.  She played the piano for church services and helped coordinate social activities for all members. The Community Table looked forward to foods that she lovingly prepared and brought for those times when her church took their turn feeding those disadvantaged among us.  She was a true and strong friend to all who needed her.

Trish leaves behind sister Elizabeth Wiatrek (Ernest); brother John (Jamie); stepsisters, Sybil Wood and Roxanne Thompson; beloved half sister, Mechelle O'Brien, nieces and nephews, many cousins, and a host of loving friends across the country.

A memorial service is planned for December.
