Mr. Guy Raymond Roberge, 89, of Biddeford died on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after an extended illness. Born in Biddeford on February 12, 1931, he was the son of Florido and Ozide (Derochers) Roberge.

Mr. Roberge was a dedicated family man who began his working career young in life, he began working with the Pepperell Mills Manufacturing Company as a teenager. He later moved to lobster fishing and small odd jobs until he decided to join the United States Air Force. Guy was a proud Korean War Veteran who bravely served on over 100 missions as a gunner. Once his service ended and he was honorably discharged, Guy joined the Tractor Trailer Truck driving community. Guy enjoyed this work because it allowed him to see areas of the country that most couldn’t dream of and gave him the opportunity to provide for his family in a meaningful way.

Guy was a profound huntsman who mostly sought after deer. When he was unable to hunt anymore, his interests and talents shifted to video poker at Foxwoods. When he wasn’t at the casino, you could find Guy at the AMVETS Post 1 in Biddeford where he was a proud lifelong member. His family describes Guy as a talented chef who made the best meatballs in Biddeford, his Spaghetti and Meatball dinner is unrivaled.

Guy is survived by his loving children; Lisa and her husband Kevin Pombriant, Peter Roberge; grandchildren, Kacie, Nick, Crystal, Brittany, Nathan and Jonathan as well as his great-grandchildren, Jordan, Hayden and Skylar. Guy’s memory is treasured and he will be sorely missed by all who loved him.
