J. G. Ramsey

J. G. Ramsey, 86, Salvisa, KY, husband of Patricia Schmucker Ramsey, died Tuesday at his home. Born Feb. 8, 1934, in Winchester, KY, he was the son of the late Leroy and Bertha (Fitzpatrick) Ramsey. Jay was a retired, self-employed appliance repairman and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Survivors other than his wife include: one daughter, Martha (Alan) VanVleck of GA; three sons, Joel (Sheri) Ramsey of FL, Greg (Cathy) Ramsey of GA and Clark Ramsey of FL; two sisters, Carolyn (Benny Crow) Whisman and Jean (Carl) Kreitzer; two brothers, Ward (Barbara) Ramsey and Ralph (Carol) Ramsey; four grandchildren, Christopher Ramsey, Amy Ramsey, Kristen VanVleck and David (Stephanie) VanVleck; four great grandchildren, Catherine Ramsey Stuart, Kalee Kirby, Connor VanVleck, and Brooke Mae VanVleck; a Brother-In-Law, Don (Lena) Schmucker; a Sister-In-Law, Gloria (Les) Burd; a niece, Samantha (Glen) Owens; two nephews, Carl (Niki) Schmucker and Ross (Kayla) Burd; two great nieces, Veronica Schmucker and Raven Burd. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Layten (Annabell) Ramsey, Paul (Mary Frances) Ramsey, Phillip (Lula) Ramsey, and Kenneth (Verlyan) Ramsey, and a niece, Rachel Burd. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM, Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at the Spring Hill Cemetery Pavilion, Harrodsburg, KY, by Darrell Hahn. Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 PM until time of service, Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. The family request memorial donations be sent to Heritage Hospice, P.O.
