Fuzz Spangler Obituary

Fuzz Spangler, 95, of Richland Center, died Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Schmitt Woodland Hills. He was born on May 17, 1925 the 10th of 12 children to George and Nellie Spangler of Richland Center. Fuzz graduated from Richland Center High School and served in the U. S. Army during WWII in the 69th Infantry Division, he was wounded in Germany and awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star. Fuzz was united in marriage to Lila Mae Millin of Patch Grove. He owned and operated Moore Electric in Richland Center for many years. Fuzz was very active in the community serving on the Board of Directors at Schmitt Woodland Hills and was a member of the Richland County Board. He was active in the American Legion and VFW, Master of Masonic Lodge #66 on three occasions, helped organize and participated in the Tin Lizzy motorized parade group for the Shrine Temple, participating in many parades throughout south west Wisconsin in the summer. Fuzz loved to golf. Fuzz is survived by his wife Lila of Richland Center; two sisters: Sylvena DeMetri of Detroit MI, and Rosie Bodine of Washburn, WI; two sons: Neal (Pam) Spangler of Oceanside, CA, and Scott (Susan) Spangler of Pewaukee, WI; three granddaughters all married and five great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
