Robert Mac Jantz passed away October 24, 2020 at the age of 84 years. The son of the late Dave Jantz and Mabel Koehn Jantz, he was born January 3, 1936 and raised in Isabella Oklahoma. Robert, who was known to many as Mac, obtained his degree in education from Central State University and served 6 years in the National Guard. He was united in marriage to Donna Stickney on December 23, 1962. Mac taught in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for 10 years at Mayfair Elementary School before he and Donna moved to Cushing in 1969. There he spent 15 years as the principal, a teacher, and a coach at Happy Valley School. He then taught at Stroud Elementary until retiring after 31 years of teaching. He worked at Walmart for 29 years retiring in 2018. Mac was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather as well as mentor and friend to many. He grew up farming and continued his love of raising animals and working the land when moving to Cushing. He was outgoing and enjoyed people, especially his years serving others while working at Walmart. He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years of the home. Three brothers, Don Jantz of Enid, Oklahoma; Gary Jantz and wife Ellen of Manhattan, Kansas; and Darrel Jantz of Fairview, Oklahoma. One sister, Jean Jantz of Yukon, Oklahoma. Two daughters, LaDona Chaney of Langley, Oklahoma; Tammy Jantz of Cushing, Oklahoma. Four grandchildren, Brandi Blevins of Tulsa, Oklahoma; J Blevins and wife Sarah of Joplin, Missouri; Joseph Jantz of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Daniel Holladay of Cushing, Oklahoma. And one great granddaughter, Ajaxx Buck. No services planned at this time.
