<p>Phylis Rachel Mischke, nee Blansit, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in her home at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 18 days. She was born February 16, 1939 in Walnut Shade, Missouri to Norman and Pansy Nash Blansit. &nbsp;Phylis was united in marriage to Duane Silas Mischke on January 19, 1956 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and to this union three sons and two daughters were born.</p> <p>Phylis was of the Christian faith. She read her Bible, enjoyed quilting and hunting for mushrooms, trout fishing at Maramec Spring Park, gardening, canning and cooking. She loved babysitting her grandchildren and loved her family dearly.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Pansy Blansit; her husband, Duane Silas Mischke; son, Allen Mischke; three brothers, Earldean Blansit, Clemith Clay Blansit and Bob Blansit; four sisters, Imogene McCorkle, Earnestine Murray, Bessie Biggs and Arlene Johnson; father-in-law Silas Mischke and mother-in-law, and Ethel Wilson; brother-in-law, Don Mischke; and sisters-in-law, Elaine Grimm and Joan Hilfiker.</p> <p>She will be sadly missed by her two sons, &ldquo;Rod&rdquo; Joel Rodney (Pamela) Mischke and Greg (Sondra) Mischke all of Steelville, MO; two daughters, Teri (Dale) Pitts of Cook Station, MO and Sandy (Tim) Farrar of Steelville, MO; eight grandchildren, Rod Allen (Partner, Amy Pringer) Mischke, Bill Mischke, Molly (Brad) Harris, Kenny (Crystal) Mischke, Nathan (Sara) Pitts, Leah (Josh) Morgan, Clay (Donna) Pitts and Lindsay Farrar; thirteen great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Harris, Brianna Mischke, Troy Pitts, Georgia Pitts, Levi Pitts, Nathanial Bisard, Jase Morgan, Garrett Pitts, Charlie Pitts, Silas Mischke, Trenton Mischke, Liam Pitts, Jadelyn Pitts; two sisters, Betty Schouten of CO and Joan Womack of OK; sister-in-law, Phyllis Schmidt of OR; other relatives; and friends.</p> <p>The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home. Services were Live streamed on Britton-Bennett Funeral Home Facebook page.</p> <p>Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 with Rev. Alan Miles officiating. Special music of &quot;Amazing Grace&quot;, &quot;I Can Only Imagine&quot; and &quot;Lead Me Home&quot; was played.</p> <p>Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery.</p> <p>Honored to be casket bearers were Rod Allen Mischke, Bill Mischke, Nathan Pitts, Clay Pitts, Kenny&nbsp;Mischke, Josh Morgan and Brad Harris.</p> <p>The Mischke Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home.</p>
