James “Jamie” Robert Henderson, 68, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020, at the Aroostook House of Comfort while surrounded by the love of people. He was born December 30, 1951, in Houlton, the son of Harlan and Bessie (Tarr) Henderson.
Jamie grew up in Linneus and attended local schools and later earned his G.E.D. He then went to work with his father in his road construction business. Jamie also owned and operated his own towing and salvage business Just Junk-It By Hacksaw. His last business venture was owning and operating the Good Shepherd Deer Farm raising Red Deer. He enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, barbecuing, fishing, and observing nature. Jamie loved his family most of all, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter Lea Henderson and her fiance James Wallace of Linneus, three grandchildren: Laci Wallace, and expected twins Finley, and Eden Wallace. He also leaves behind five siblings: Janet Henderson of Presque Isle, Marilyn Henderson, Marie Jacobs, Paul Henderson all of Linneus, Bruce Henderson of Houlton, several nieces, nephews, and a special nephew who was like a son Robert Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Brent “Homer” Henderson.
